They are a pretty new newly-wed couple that bought their first house in the valley. Shawn and Hannah did a Christmas holiday photo session that commemorates how they met and how they are as a couple. This is Hannah’s version of telling their love story.

[box] “We met at a Christmas in July party. It was at his cousin’s house. I was close with the cousins, but it was less frequent for Shawn to come and hang out with the family. He almost didn’t make it to the party because of a bad day at work. An hour late, he finally entered the scene, accidentally silencing the party chatter for a moment. I was transfixed by the sight of the cutest, tallest, scruffiest man I had ever seen. Eyes met for a moment, and I ran and hid. Later in the evening I ended up chugging a full cup of water so that I could go get a refill where he was standing, and awkwardly introduce myself. After pretending not to notice him, running into him at multiple church events and eventually spending a whole evening talking and playing Wii at a friend’s house, he offered to “help with my homework”. From that point we emailed and gmail chatted late into the night for weeks. We were like two magnets, becoming good friends, dating, and getting married within two years. He proposed via a scavenger hunt, leading to the middle of a fountain where he got on one knee and gave me a gorgeous ring and asked me to be his wife. #yes Since then it’s just been a huge whirlwind of hamsters and a puppy and real life and new adventures. And that’s our little love story (from this girl’s perspective!).” [/box]

Hannah is the Martha Stewart for thrift stores. Her Instagram is a line of design photographs as well as the inside of her home. She has an eye for details. Their living room is a high-end consignment store catalog. There are a ton of thrift store items that decorate the shelves and live in the furniture. If you are looking for an interior decorator she’s your woman.

She bought this awesome colorful couch from GW, a fancy term for the GoodWill, or one of those thrift stores.

Hannah and Shawn did an incredible spread for their session. They enjoyed hot coco and fluffy marshmallows with classic Christmas music playing in the background.

It looks Pinterest worthy. 

Waffles was groomed, bathed and decorated with a bow for the festive occassion.

He was given the royal “treat”ment.
