While Achieving Goals What You Become is the Most Important: 10,000 Smiles Project

2013-12-31_0001I sit here and wonder what to even say about the project. I am stunned. I did it; I finished a large project. I impressed myself; it’s the biggest project I have accomplished in my life. The project has come a long way since the first post on the project back in January and the mid-project post in August. This project all started from a little inspiration from a Chinese street sweeper and encouragement from my husband. A BIG thanks goes out to Denny.

My inspiration….doesn’t he make you smile?

I met so many people. It’s crazy to think that in one year I met over 10,000 people. I come away from the project a stronger, disciplined and a better photographer.

He Will Be Remembered

All timing happens for a reason. This morning I learned about a boy I met at an orphanage in March went to Heaven before Christmas. I knew he had a disease but when I met him he seemed like he was doing well. I am thankful I met him and captured his smile. His joy with life was contagious. He is a reason to smile. He will be remembered.IMG_4740-L-2

2014 Here We Come

What daunting project do you think you can’t do? If a small town girl from Casa Grande can meet her enormous project’s goal, you can too. List your goal in the comment box below and we can encourage one another.

The project will live on. It is one of my goals this year to publish a coffee table book with 1,000 smiles on Kickstarter. Stay tuned on this blog to learn how you can have one in your home.

I hope and pray that the 10,000 Smiles Project made an impact on you. This is the last 100 pictures that I will publish on 10,000 Smiles. Thank you to all who encouraged me and let me know how the project influenced you.

How did the project affect you? Which picture in the project makes you smile?
Note: The comment box is at the end of the 100 smiles. =)
