Where the Sonoran desert meets whimsical on a wedding day, Hytched Weddings & Events designed an exceptional organic whimsical wedding at The Boulders in Northern Scottsdale, Arizona. It is with great joy to announce that this Boulders‘s Wedding Inspiration was featured on a national blog today: 100 Layer Cake. My creative and team and I would personally like to thank Jillian from 100 Layer Cake for this opportunity!

Natasha from Hytched Weddings & Events shares her inspiration behind the wedding shoot at the The Boulders“This shoot was inspired by tidbits of fairytales and gothic princess dreams, with an “up, up, and away” feel. … This unique landscape features huge rocks, rolling hills and mountains, and breathtaking views.  Adding a punch of vintage always plays up a fairytale-type concept, and the trunks, books, tea set, furniture, and typewriter did just that…”

Sean and Christiana are a real-life dating couple who spent the afternoon with us as models. We are so grateful for their time and getting to know them personally. “(The) groom is relaxed yet classic in a not-quite-navy suit with a marsala bowtie with white polka dots. “

Wedding dessert stations are a sweet idea to jazz up your wedding and offer your guests a variety of delicious options. Hytched Weddings & Events  vision for this shoot: “The purpose of this photoshoot is to inspire couples to plan a ‘fairytale’ wedding that doesn’t follow the traditional and societal norms.  Fairytale does not have to mean perfect golden blonde hair and and crystal chandeliers.  Everyone has their own perception of a theme or concept, and this was my take on whimsical.  I love to play with masculine design touches, and this shoot really reflects that.  We are trying to communicate to couples that they can break all the rules and still plan a wedding that will delight and surprise their guests… not to mention one that will photograph beautifully and remain classic for years to come.”

Natasha from Hytched Weddings & Events included the following items to create this whimsical design: an adorable yellow upholstered chair, tea pots, an Orphan Barrel bourbon-infused tea display, an enchanting light blue typewriter, yummy pastries including a chocolate croissant, blueberry pie bar, and The Henry’s signature Salted Caramel Rolls.
