1) Delegate:

Some wedding venues have a set amount of time you can be on their property hence you need another getting ready location. To save you 30 minutes of time, we recommend choosing a delegated person, friend or family member, drop off all the details to your wedding photographer so they can capture those details before you even arrive. Venues are usually welcoming to photographers to be on the property early because they get their early to scout.

Wedding detail photos should be obsessed over including the details of your bridal and groom detailing. These are such important details because they represent the thoughts, personalities, and planning of you both. Within the small details are what is remembered. Everyone catches a hint into the personal lives of the bride and groom. They are small pieces of your full wedding day story.

2) Rent:

If for some reason you are not able to get ready on site at your venue, it is still vital to book a getting ready location. The first option is to check local wedding resorts near by that maybe have a get ready room. But sometimes they can book up quickly or there might not even be one nearby.

We recommend a 21st century idea. Vacation rental such as an Airbnb. Select a location that is less than 15 minutes away. Closer is better in this case due to less travel time. It is important to remember that getting a group from point A to B can be time consuming. The longer the distance, the more potential for traffic.

Another option is booking a rental that has gorgeous outdoor environmental settings. They help set the stage for pretty outside getting ready portraits.

Bonus Tips

Here are a few other “keepers” of information to remember when it comes to your getting ready room:

  • Keep in mind the lighting. Window light is the ideal way to spend your wedding morning and creates the best natural light wedding memories.
  • Keep your room decluttered.
  • Keep all the getting ready details located in one spot of the room.
  • Keep a getting ready wedding playlist in the background while your friends and you prep for one of the biggest dates of your life.
