Summer Lavender and Honey Wedding Inspiration at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa

Lavender hues sway in the background of their sentimental wedding vow exchange. They stand nose to nose with each other, boldly declaring their commitment and love. With words that are as sweet as honey and the blossoming fields showing off their luxurious tones, their farm wedding had it all. Authentic, sweet, rich in love, and warm to the core.

This wedding inspiration has been designed for a couple who wants a French lavender farm wedding at a local destination resort. If you are looking for symbolizing to play a part in your wedding, lavender is an extremely fun way to go. The meaning of the lavender flower is love and devotion. Due to the depth of its meaning,  we decided to have the lavender flower be our main source of inspiration. You can choose from various shades of purple. A creative way to incorporate the different tones is through your bridesmaids. They can choose the kind of lavender tone they want and dress it up with a precious nude pump. To accent the bridesmaids, the groomsmen wear a lavender boutonniere.

At Joshua and Rebecca’s wedding, everything was centered around wanting the presence of Jesus and putting God’s glory on display. It was an authentic and intimate destination wedding at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa nestled at the bottom of Camelback Mountain. Organic and sophisticated details flooded the beautiful wedding day.

Upon arrival to the Royal Palms Resort and Spa, wedding guests were welcomed with “welcome boxes” featuring an Arizona welcome postcard note and a jar of Arizona prickly pear jam homemade by the bride.

During the ceremony, guests entered while there was a live accordion. On the walk down, there was a String Quartet of a song from the Sound of Music. When they stepped up to the ceremony arch, it was covered with greenery, accented with candle sticks and lanterns. They took communion and washed each others feet, leading the day with lots of joyous tears and shouts of laughter.

In between the ceremony and reception, they had cocktail hour for their guests. The menu included biscuits and scones, drizzled with local Arizona honey. As for refreshments, natural lemonade and lavender champagne were the drinks of choice.

In lieu of a tent top, their guests dined al fresco for the reception. The vine-covered tent on the Royal Palm Resort and Spa’s lawn had five copper chandeliers suspended for ambiance. French Duck was the feature dish combined together with all fresh ingredients from local farms. On the tables, you would find place settings made of copper flatware, a menu tucked into envelopes with each name calligraphed and sealed with a custom wax seal. For a clever addition, there was a piece of a honeycomb and lavender adorn on each place setting. Their own sweet heart table featured a white paper runner with the Bride’s favorite scripture; “the two shall become one flesh” that was calligraphed. For guest favors and to splash another “honey” detail in, they gave each person local raw hone from the Lavender Farm birth place. Family and friends danced the night away with the new bride and groom, which later turned into a night of flow sticks and sparklers as the newlyweds rode away in a horse drawn carriage.

The bride begins the day with prep and fun, making memories with her dearest friends.

Her honey brown hair is almost as warm as her sweet and precious heart. Loving the way her bridal gown effortlessly flows to the ground.

The tones of lavender were perfectly paired with soft pinks and baby white roses for her bouquet.

The groom handles his final details before meeting his bride. 

Time spent together creates a lasting bond that grows the relationship tighter and closer.

It is so inspiring to watch married couples, no matter for how long, take time to show their care for one another and can soak up the moments they have, while living in such a busy world.

Marriage represents so much more than we can even imagine. Marriage glorifies our Living God who loves us without hesitation or without shame. He is proud to love us, just as a husband is proud to love his wife.

As they stand in the stillness of the day and mirror God’s image, a marriage grows with invaluable fruitfulness. It is the kind of fruit that tastes like patience, kindness, selflessness, and feels like gentleness and security.

A healthy married couple can boldly walk forward together through the valleys and mountain tops because they identify themselves with Jesus, as each individually loved and valued.

Before the reception, guests stand to enjoy the quaint and simply cocktail hour. They get to experience the Arizona natural beauty while feeling like they are at a oasis destination wedding.

Te reception closed with their closest family and friends surrounding them with so much love and thoughtfulness. Feet were moving on the dance floor and as the night came to a close, sparklers were lit and the couple was glowing.
